EXHIBITION DESIGN // BUSBOYS AND POETS
A storefront window installation at the iconic Busboys & Poets on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Anacostia, designed in collaboration with Empower DC and D.C. Legacy Project. This timeline exhibit translates archival research into accessible visual storytelling, documenting Barry Farm's history of displacement, resistance, and community organizing. Positioned on a high-traffic corridor in a historically significant Southeast D.C. neighborhood, the installation engages passersby with narratives of housing justice, educational equity, and cultural resilience. I led the visual concept and execution, transforming complex historical content into an environmental design that honors the residents who shaped this community.
