HI! I’M SENNA

Who I am: Currently residing in Washington, DC. My degree is in graphic design, but photography, illustration, lettering and so many other forms of visual art are also important parts of my practice.

The kind of work I love to do: I want to offer my creative skills as a tool for change. I want my practice to be a medium in which I can think critically about the world and how we can make it a more equitable, inclusive space. I’m also passionate about my South Asian background and love to interlace Desi histories into my personal work. Creating meaningful, educational experiences for South Asians through visual arts is the work I feel I am called to do.

Who I’m inspired by: Writers and artists that have used their skill to bring awareness to injustice and mobilized for change. Examples: Audre Lorde, Faiz Ahmad Faiz, adrienne maree brown, Bell Hooks, Saadat Hasan Manto, Kishwar Naheed
